Why does Tax Democracy exist?

On average, every Italian spends more on taxes over the course of a year than on any other category of spending. Add social-security and pension payments (INPS and private funds) on top, and the annual outlay on tax and contributions comes close to the sum of all other categories combined. We think it is time to understand it better!
