01.48.10. Rabbits have their own dedicated code, separate from both poultry and fur animals. If you raise other small fur-bearing animals other than rabbits, the code becomes 01.48.20.
I raise rabbits for both meat and fur — do I stay on 01.48.10?
Yes, rabbits always use code 01.48.10 regardless of purpose. Class 01.48.20 applies to fur-bearing animals other than rabbits, so even if you sell rabbit pelts you remain here.
I raise dwarf rabbits to sell as pets, not for meat — is it 01.48.10 or something under companion animals?
01.48.10. Rabbits have their own dedicated code and stay there regardless of end use, even if you sell them as pets. Dogs, cats, hamsters, and other companion animals without their own class fall under 01.48.99, which does not include rabbits.
