Yes, the repair of pipelines, mobile welding, steel drums, steam generators and central-heating boilers all fall under this entry. It is the residual category for metal products without their own dedicated classification. If, however, the work involves tanks and reservoirs, there is a dedicated entry at 33.11.01.
I repair industrial-use boilers — does this code apply, or should I use the one for industrial-process boilers?
Usually not for industrial-process boilers: those have their own entry at 33.12.20. This code covers boilers and radiators for central-heating systems and steam generators as metal products, not process plant equipment.
I also repair fishing nets, ropes, tarpaulins and rigging alongside pipelines — does all of that fall under this residual metal-products code?
No for nets, ropes, canvas and tarpaulins: these are not metal products and have their own entry at 33.19.00. This code covers residual metal fabrications such as pipelines, mobile welding and steel drums.
