I am a pet groomer who also offers some animal services — can I use the veterinary services code?
No. Code 75.00.00 is reserved for health care provided by veterinarians or auxiliary veterinary staff. Grooming and non-medical services for pets fall under other personal service activities at 96.99.99.
Veterinary assistant and diagnostics on animal samples: same code as the veterinarian?
Yes. The code expressly includes veterinary assistants and auxiliary veterinary personnel, as well as analysis of animal samples for health purposes unrelated to food production. Farriery, on the other hand, is support to animal production and falls under 01.62.01.
