62.90.09. The code covers precisely data recovery services from damaged computers and the installation of third-party software. The sole installation and configuration of a new PC falls instead under 62.90.01.
It is the catch-all code for IT services: can I use it for any IT activity?
No. 62.90.09 applies only to IT services not classified elsewhere. Programming, consultancy, and facilities management have their own codes, for example 62.20.10.
I provide software support and installation but also data processing for clients: do I need a separate code?
Yes, for the processing part. Third-party software installation is 62.90.09, while data processing on behalf of clients falls under processing services, for example 63.10.29.
