Frequently asked questions

Agency that conceives advertising concepts and messages: ATECO code 73.11.01 or the one for running campaigns?
73.11.01 when the work is conceptual: creative concept development, message crafting, campaign planning and organisation, including social media marketing, through to ad placement in media. The operational management and actual execution of the campaign fall instead under 73.11.02.
I run influencer-based campaigns: do I use 73.11.01 or is there a dedicated code?
There is a dedicated code: influencer marketing belongs under 73.11.03, as the exclusions of 73.11.01 make clear. 73.11.01 remains for the creation of advertising campaigns in the broad sense, including those on social media, but only when influencer engagement is not the central element.
I only sell advertising space, I don't create ads: is 73.11.01 still correct?
No. The sale or resale of advertising time and space in media is a media sales activity, coded as 73.12.00. 73.11.01 covers the creative and conceptual side, not brokering advertising space.
